Introduction
In January 1934, devoted cooperators of the Nawanshahr Sub-Division took a wise and farsighted step by organizing this bank, by amalgamation of two Cooperative Unions namely Dhaha and Jandiali with working capital of Rs.2.25 Lac, in a small rented room in local Gurudwara Sahib. On formation of Nawanshahr as District, Balachaur Sub-Division was amalgamated in this bank w.e.f 01.10.1996. CCB Nawanshahr has been registered vide No. 95 dated 23.01.1934 under The Cooperative Societies Act and also taken the license from Reserve Bank of India in 1990 (LICENSE NO.:RPCD.PB. 47-C (RENEWED RPCD.(CHD)(NHR)PB-16 in May2012)
