Introduction
In January 1934, devoted cooperators of the Nawanshahr Sub-Division took a wise and farsighted step by organizing this bank, by amalgamation of two Cooperative Unions namely Dhaha and Jandiali with working capital of Rs.2.25 Lac, in a small rented room in local Gurudwara Sahib.
